What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will lead copywriting efforts for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) organization. The Senior Consultant will lead a workstream  writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for marketing and communications materials intended for external audiences in support of USCIS’ recruitment efforts.

The Senior Consultant have the following experience:

  • Supporting the development of writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for marketing and communications materials for external audiences

  • Supporting stakeholder analyses and the development of stakeholder personas and journey maps

  • Supporting the development of stakeholder engagement approaches and initiatives

  • Supporting the development of multi-channel communications products for communicating with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders

  • Assisting in the development of metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

  • Assisting in preparation of and leading internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings

  • Supporting multiple concurrent assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products

  • Supporting the preparation of a wide range of briefing materials and concise summaries of assessments, evaluations, and plans  communicate program status and progress to senior leaders



What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or business-related field

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for marketing and communications materials intended for external audiences

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications

  • Experience consulting for the DHS

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of business, both written and verbal

  • Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships

  • Experience working in DHS

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
