What You Will Do:

You will lead a team of cyber security professionals within a component of a large Federal agency that supports their system security lifecycle for classified and unclassified information systems and will include but are not limited to: System Authorization, System Security Development and Implementation, System Security response, and System Security planning, in accordance with Federal guidelines and directives.  

Additionally, you will:

  • Staff a project management office (PMO) with the appropriate resources to manage the requirements of contract task areas.

  • Prepare project management plans (PMP) describing the technical approach, organizational resources, and management controls to be employed for various projects.

  • Provide platform support as needed to ensure the continuous operation of cybersecurity tools, integration of data flows, and configuration and orchestration.  This includes vulnerability and compliance scans, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platform, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

  • Support the development of a Zero Trust roadmap

  • Oversee task leads and contract deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and meet quality standards.

  • Oversee staff and be responsible for hiring and onboarding/offboarding

  • Oversee contract financials and maintain profit and loss within corporate guidelines

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance; must UPGRADE and MAINTAIN a Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • SEVEN (7) or more years of overall professional experience, at least FIVE (5) years of experience managing large federated security projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Understanding of PMO processes, procedures, and best practices

  • PMP certification required

  • Understanding of Agile frameworks

  • Understanding of DISA STIGs

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Admin., or related field.

  • Master's degree

  • Experience with Tenable Nessus, Acunetix Invicti, Splunk, BigFix, Digital Guardian, Trellix

  • Experience with DOJ

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
