What You Will Do:

Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. In support of that mission, we are searching for a Senior Consultant to help DOT consolidate and improve its grants system. We are seeking Senior Consultants experienced with process improvement and the federal grants lifecycle to support DOT in improving its grant process. The Senior Consultant we are looking for has strong critical thinking skills, experience in client interaction and facilitation, and demonstrated experience delivering solutions.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements

  • Identify, analyze, and improve business processes

  • Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies

  • Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues

  • Develop detailed status reports for individual programs

  • Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff


What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years of management consulting experience, preferably within the public sector

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems

  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse

  • Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply

  • This hybrid position role may require up to 2 - 3 days on-site at the Client's office  

  • This position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 of the DC Area

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with federal grants programs

  • Experience working with the Federal government

  • Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizations

  • PMP, Agile or other project or program management certification

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
