What You Will Do:

The Senior Federal Law Enforcement Specialist will join a dynamic team supporting U.S federal law enforcement customers. In this role, the candidate will develop law enforcement process artifacts, policy strategy, and strategic analysis products for key government customers. In addition, they will support transformational initiatives to optimize processes and programs.

Duties will include:

  • Support the strategic visioning, rationalization, and alternatives analysis for CBP leadership programs, initiatives, or priorities. 

  • Support overall strategic framework for problem definition and facilitates executive solutioning sessions to help rationalize leadership direction. 

  • Leverage law enforcement experience to provide field support training, logistics, and policy insights to identify programmatic enhancements and new investments/divestments to meet operational goals. 

  • Deep understanding of the federal law enforcement environment, particularly regarding the day-to-day operations and execution of the Law Enforcement Officers (LEO).

  • Experience with the acquisition and/or use of technology, assets, and equipment required by LOEs when operating in the field.

  • Experience developing requirements and/or articulating field needs to headquarters leadership.

  • Lead the development of vision statements, design thinking workshops, and concept of operations related to CBP leadership program, initiatives and priorities. 

  • Have experience facilitating trainings, meetings, and working with internal/external CBP stakeholders to reach consensus on mission critical objectives and strategies.

  • Develop draft presentations and talking points to support executive briefings. 

  • Support hybrid work environments involving work on client site, in a Guidehouse office, and remote.



What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED CBP PUBLIC TRUST

  • Bachelor's degree

  • TEN (10) years of experience in federal law enforcement or border security

  • Experience developing business documents, policies, and processes.

  • Advanced experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams to develop business products and process improvements.

  • Experience presenting trends, research, and recommended continuous improvement to clientele and developing effective briefings and communication products.



What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience developing process improvements and policy guidance to the field.

  • Proficiency in business writing for variety of audiences with competing priorities.

  • Experience managing teams delivering to federal senior leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
