What You Will Do:

As a Strategist, you will play a critical role in supporting our client’s approach to foreign assistance oversight across their initiatives. You will develop and support existing strategies that guide our collective work on foreign assistance, including analysis, change management, and product development.Your work will involve establishing frameworks for how we collect and utilize foreign assistance information to support evidence-based insights and decision-making in the foreign assistance sector.

Due to the dynamic nature of the project, the Guidehouse Team plays a critical role in several cross-functional projects, initiatives, and taskings. The strategist will need to be pro-active, flexible, and adept at communications, organization, and writing.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement organization-wide strategies for foreign assistance initiatives

  • Design frameworks and standards for foreign assistance analysis and management

  • Establish governance protocols and quality assurance processes for foreign assistance

  • Lead strategic planning for information collection, processing, and dissemination activities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies with organizational

  • objectives

  • Ensure compliance with donor reporting standards and international requirements

  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations

  • Support evidence-based research and analysis across foreign assistance portfolios



What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in international development, economics, or related field

  • THREE (3) or more years of experience with foreign assistance systems and processes

  • THREE (3) or more years of experience supporting a U.S. federal foreign affairs agency

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies that align with organizational objectives


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Strong understanding of governance and quality assurance

  • Ability to translate complex information into actionable insights

  • Experience with donor reporting requirements and compliance

  • General knowledge of US government foreign assistance objectives and operations

  • Experience supporting change management processes

  • Experience working for or supporting foreign assistance-managing public sector federal agencies

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
