What You Will Do:

This role encompasses transportation safety and program management and leading efforts around policy, rulemaking, standing up new programs, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of existing programs. The professionals we seek will be team-oriented, dedicated, and adaptable individuals with a desire for development, growth, and success.

  • Support clients in safety-related initiatives aimed at optimizing safety programs, safety outcomes, and safety culture
  • Support federal transportation clients in delivering transportation safety-related technical assistance, outreach, and support to state-level multi-modal transportation agencies
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements
  • Participate in client meetings and support clients in developing clear and concise reports and briefing materials
  • Support team collaboration and quality assurance


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university

  • 3 - 5+ years of consulting experience in federal, state, or local transportation consulting/research

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills

  • Detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks quickly to adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad-hoc requests

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse

  • Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply

  • This hybrid position role may require up to 3-5 days on-site at the Client's office 

  • This hybrid position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 miles of DC


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering, planning, policy, or a transportation discipline

  • Professional Engineer license, AICP certification, or EIT certification

  • Experience in federal consulting

  • Experience working with federal, state, or local transportation organizations

  • Experience in transportation safety or developing safety action plans

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
