What You Will Do:

You will work with a team of cyber security professionals within a component of a large Federal agency that supports their system security lifecycle for classified and unclassified information systems and will include but are not limited to: System Authorization, System Security Development and Implementation, System Security response, and System Security planning, in accordance with Federal guidelines and directives.  

Additionally, you will:

  • Deliver a Zero Trust roadmap for secret and top secret enclaves.  The roadmap will:

    • Provide a cost effective and timely plan to modernize the underlying system to meet the principles of Zero Trust.

    • Follow agency and Federal Zero Trust documentation, and adhere to the NSA Zero Trust Maturity Model.

    • Include key metrics including, timelines, resource requirements, budgetary projections, risks, constraints, and outcomes.

  • Support other tasks such as managing schedules, developing processes and procedures, and supporting the operations of the contract’s PMO

  • Provide consultation in areas such as network security, identity and access management, cloud security, security information and event management (SIEM), endpoint security, and application security

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance; must UPGRADE and MAINTAIN a Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) Federal or DoD security clearance

  • EIGHT (8) or more years of experience designing highly complex IT systems

  • Expertise in network security, identity and access management (IAM), strong authentication methods, encryption, continuous monitoring, and network segmentation

  • Understanding of Zero Trust principals

  • Other skills such as:

    • Security architecture design

    • Threat modeling

    • Incident response

    • Scripting and automation

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Experience with DOJ

  • Experience with Tenable Nessus, Acunetix Invicti, Splunk, BigFix, Digital Guardian, Trellix

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$216,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
